Today, Chairman Mike Bost of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs announced the Republican members who will serve on the committee for the 119th Congress. In his statement, Bost emphasized the diverse backgrounds of the members, highlighting their military service and experience in various sectors such as small business ownership, healthcare, and local government.
"Whether it’s their own military service to experience in small business ownership, healthcare, and local government, I have no doubt that our Republican Committee Members for the 119th Congress will bring valuable insights to the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs," said Chairman Bost. He expressed pride that over half of these members are veterans themselves. "They know what it means to serve because they have lived it, and their firsthand knowledge is vitally important."
Bost also noted that this team aims to support President Trump's veteran-first agenda. "We have assembled a dynamic team to deliver on President Trump’s veteran first agenda and I’m excited to fight alongside these new and returning legislators to expand opportunity for the men and women who have served and their families – let’s get to work."
