Rep. Mike Bost, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Illinois’ 12th district, shared his views on recent developments regarding immigration and federal funding through a series of tweets on January 28, 2025.

In one tweet, Rep. Bost expressed support for former President Trump's efforts to address illegal immigration issues. He stated, "President Trump is fulfilling his promise to the American people to clean up the illegal immigration mess in this country. We're seeing it firsthand here in Illinois." This post was made at 15:31 UTC.

Shortly after, at 15:32 UTC, he praised Tom Homan's actions as Border Czar during a visit to Chicago. Bost tweeted, "It was great to see that Border Czar Tom Homan traveled to Chicago last weekend to personally oversee the detention of undocumented criminals in the city. The days of chaos and disorder at the border are over."

Later that day, at 21:00 UTC, Rep. Bost addressed concerns about federal funding decisions under President Trump’s administration. He cautioned against misinformation by tweeting, "Don't believe the D.C. Democrats’ spin and scare tactics about President Trump's customary pause on certain federal funding."
