City of Edwardsville Public Services Committee met Feb. 27

I. Public Comment: None. 

II. Council Matters: 

A. Approval of Minutes from the February 11, 2025 Public Services Committee meeting: 

Alderman Warren made a motion to approve with Alderman Morrison seconding the motion. All Ayes. Committee forwarded to Council for information. 

B. Approval of a Resolution Authorizing the Sole Source Purchase of One (1) 2025 Dodge RAM 1500 Tradesman from Cassens, Inc., not to exceed $45,000.00 

Alderman Warren made a motion to approve with Alderman Morrison seconding the motion. Staff explained that this is for the purchase of a replacement DARE van for the Police Department. All Ayes. Committee forwarded to Finance for consideration. 

C. Approval of a Resolution Authorizing the Mayor to Enter into an Agreement with Southern Illinois University to Provide Fire Protection Emergency Medical Services to the Edwardsville Campus 

Alderman Warren made a motion to approve with Alderman Morrison seconding the motion. Staff explained that this is for the Edwardsville fire department to provide fire protection and emergency medical services to SIUE. All Ayes. Committee forwarded to Council for consideration.

A. Change Order #3 and Final for the Hillsboro Drainage Project in the increased amount of $9,107.52 

B. Next Public Services Committee meeting will be held at City Hall, 118 Hillsboro Ave. on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 4:30 p.m.

VII. Adjournment: Alderman Morrison made a motion to adjourn. Alderman Warren seconded the motion. All Ayes. Committee adjourned at 4:36 pm.
