Rep. Mike Bost, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Illinois' 12th district, has recently shared his views on various issues through a series of tweets. Bost, who succeeded Gerald Hawkins in 2015 and previously served in the Illinois House of Representatives, addressed topics ranging from national heroes to election integrity and law enforcement.

On March 25, 2025, Rep. Bost marked Medal of Honor Day by emphasizing the sacrifices made by military heroes. He stated that it is "a time to reflect on the incredible sacrifices made by generations of our nation’s heroes — those who defended our freedoms with unwavering courage against overwhelming odds." He further urged that "we never forget their valor" and acknowledged that "freedom isn’t free." The full tweet can be viewed here.

Later that day, Rep. Bost expressed support for President Trump's new executive order aimed at enhancing election integrity. He remarked that "election integrity is the foundation of our Republic" and commended the president for taking action to restore trust at the ballot box. The executive order reportedly focuses on strengthening voter citizenship verification and addressing foreign interference in elections. His comments are available here.

On March 26, 2025, Rep. Bost hosted a virtual meeting with sheriffs from his district to discuss issues related to illegal immigration and drug abuse among others. In his tweet about the event, he reiterated his longstanding support for law enforcement officers: "I have long supported our brave men and women in law enforcement." He took this opportunity to thank them for their service and update them on relevant legislation. More details can be found here.
