He stated his support for Israel's right to defend itself against threats from Iran, while also acknowledging President Trump's efforts to engage with Iran. "BREAKING: Reports from Tel Aviv indicate that several Israelis have been injured in retaliatory ballistic missile strikes from Iran. I fully support Israel’s right to take action in the face of growing threats from Iran."
Later that day, Bost highlighted ongoing military tensions by noting the continuation of missile strikes by Iran towards Israel. He succinctly remarked on the situation: "Iran continues barrage of missile strikes towards Israel."
On June 14, 2025, Rep. Bost shifted focus to domestic matters by wishing residents of Southern Illinois a happy Flag Day. He reflected on the historical significance of the Stars and Stripes adopted by the Continental Congress 248 years ago and emphasized its representation of national values: "Wishing everyone in Southern Illinois a happy Flag Day! Mike Bost was born in Murphysboro, Illinois in 1960 and still resides there today at age 62. He graduated from the University of Illinois' Certified Firefighter II Academy in 1993.
