U.S. Representative Mike Bost has announced a $3.6 million grant from the Federal Aviation Administration for MidAmerica Airport, located in St. Clair County. The funds are designated for the construction of a new 6,000-square-foot terminal aimed at enhancing passenger and baggage handling capabilities.

Representative Bost emphasized the significance of this development, stating, "MidAmerica Airport continues to grow as a critical transportation asset for Southern Illinois." He added that the new terminal would increase the airport's capacity to accommodate more travelers, improve operational efficiency, and bolster economic growth in the region.

The grant represents an investment in infrastructure that is expected to benefit both the airport and the surrounding community by supporting increased travel and economic activity.
