Rep. Mike Bost, Chairman of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee and U.S. Representative from Illinois, recently shared updates on his work via social media, highlighting developments in veterans' services and local community support initiatives.

On August 14, 2025, Rep. Bost stated, "As Chairman of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, I’m proud to see the VA reach record-breaking results for our nation’s heroes. Rep. Mike Bost has represented Illinois in Congress since first winning election in 2014 against William L. Enyart (winning 52.5% of votes). He has secured re-election multiple times: defeating Charles Baricevic in 2016 with 54.3% of votes; Raymond Lenzi in 2020 with 60.4%; Brendan Kelly in 2018 with 51.6%; and Chip Markel in 2022 with a significant margin of 75%^[1](#fact1).
