Rep. Mike Bost has represented Illinois's congressional district since first winning election in 2014 against William L. Enyart by securing approximately 52.5% of the vote. He has subsequently won re-election multiple times: defeating Charles Baricevic in 2016 with about 54.3% of votes; Raymond Lenzi in 2020 with roughly 60.4%; Brendan Kelly in 2018 with around 51.6%; and Chip Markel in 2022 by obtaining about three-quarters of all votes cast.
