Rep. Mike Bost, U.S. Congressman from Illinois and Chairman of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, recently shared updates on his official X account about his participation in events supporting manufacturing and veterans' services in Illinois.

On August 28, 2025, Bost posted about a webinar with the Technology and Manufacturing Association: "I joined Rich Carter and David Curtin of the Technology and Manufacturing Association for a webinar to mark TMA’s 100th anniversary and talk about the future of small and midsize manufacturers in Illinois. With nearly 900 members and over 39,000 employees represented, TMA plays a".

The following day, August 29, he highlighted a meeting with representatives from Folds of Honor: "As Chairman of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, I had the opportunity to meet with Robert Etter and Matt Schwarz from the Illinois-Missouri chapter of Folds of Honor to talk about the incredible work they do for the families of our fallen and disabled service members, as".

On August 30, Bost reported attending a ribbon-cutting event at Scott Air Force Base: "I was proud to help celebrate the ribbon cutting of the new VA Primary Care Clinic at Scott Air Force Base. This clinic will make it easier for our veterans to get the care they need close to home, and I’m grateful for the team working to make sure those who served our country".

Mike Bost has represented Illinois in Congress since first winning election in 2014 against William L. Enyart. He has secured re-election in subsequent cycles—defeating Charles Baricevic in 2016 (54.3% to 39.7%), Brendan Kelly in 2018 (51.6% to 45.4%), Raymond Lenzi in 2020 (60.4% to 39.7%), and Chip Markel in 2022 (75% to 25%).
