Edwardsville's Public Services Committee met recently to approve contracts for upcoming and ongoing projects.
The committee reviewed seven contracts -- including the Booster Station No. 1 Improvements Contract that would be given to Luitjohan Contractors for $1,797,920 and the Construction Engineering Services that would be given to Crawford, Murphy and Tilly Inc. for $87,520 -- and approved them all, forwarding them to the city council.
The committee also discussed road improvement projects, and it was noted that the staff plans to present an update for committee members at the next meeting.
Alderperson Barbara Stamer stated that she had received a complaint about the condition of sidewalks in the 200 block of North Buchanon. The staff will investigate the area.
