Alton Committee of the Whole to meet on resolutions and bid reports

Cats

The Committee of the Whole for the city of Alton, Ill., will gather Monday to examine three resolutions and three bid reports.

The committee will discuss a resolution for amending the city’s animal control ordinance to provide for community cats to be sterilized, vaccinated and returned.

It will then tackle a resolution that would accept the terms of the foregoing offer from Pride Inc. to install new landscaping at State House Square.

The final resolution involves authorization for the mayor and appropriate city officials to direct the transfer of routers to Lewis and Clark Community College.

The bid reports include one for mowing and trimming services for the Building and Zoning Department, another for a new tires contract for various departments and the last for asbestos replacement at 1310 Washington Ave.
