The Roxana Village Council recently gathered to talk about city projects, including storm drainage and water plants.

In a recent Roxana Village Council meeting, Trustee Marty Reynolds discussed the Thomas and Maple storm drainage project, extending the storm water line to Walnut, as well as replacing the furnace and hot water heater at 223 S. Central Ave.

Water Superintendent Glen Diveley noted that the water plant had finished a recent construction project and that it was now on village insurance instead of Builders Risk Insurance.

Street Superintendent Mike Raich announced that the fence at the Water Tower will be removed.

The council approved the monthly treasurer’s report and bill list. It also assessed the amount of funds in the General, Recreation, Fire, Refuse, Public Improvement, Water O&M, Meter Deposit, Water Plant Capital Expenditures, Social Security, Special Revenues, Unemployment Insurance and Workman’s Comp., and Motor Tax funds.
