City of Belleville Finance Committee met August 7.

Chairman Kinsella called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm.

Roll call was taken. All members were present. (Alderman Ovian was a few minutes late.)

Evacuation procedures were explained. In case of severe weather everyone should exit through the back door and go to the interior hallway.

Chairman Kinsella opened public participation.

There was no public participation.

Motion to Approve Impact Strategies Change Order #5 in the amount of S15,730 for the City Hall Project.

Mayor Eckert explained the change order which is necessary to finish replacing the lobby windows in City Hall and asked the committee to approve it. These changes will make the windows more energy and cost efficient. Discussion followed concerning additional future costs and when the project will be completed.

Motion-

Alderman Pusa made a motion to approve Impact Strategies Change Order # 5 in the amount of $15,730 for the City Hall Project. Alderman Gaa seconded. Roll call vote was taken. Alderman Pusa, Tyler, Ovian, Schaefer, Gaa, Weygandt, Barfield and Kinsella all voted yes. Mayor Eckert also voted yes. The motion passed.

Motion to Approve changes to General & Community Assistance Office Hours and Staffing as Recommended by Administration.

Sherry Favre asked for an increase to one employee's salary and requested that office hours be changed to Monday-Thursday, 8:30am to 4:00pm and have both employees work these hours together and this will help her schedule. Discussion followed.

Motion-

Alderman Tyler made a motion to approve changes to General & Community Assistance office hours and staffing as recommended by Administration. Alderman Barfield seconded. Roll call vote was taken. Alderman Pusa, Tyler, Ovian, Schaefer, Gaa, Weygandt, Barfield and Kinsella all voted yes. Mayor Eckert also voted yes. The motion passed.

Motion-

Alderman Pusa made a motion to adjourn at 6:00 pm. Alderman Ovian seconded. All attending members voted yes. The motion passed.
