The Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce recognized Sharon Goff for her exemplary volunteer service to the community and awarded her this quarter’s Commitment to Community Award.

"Sharon Goff is a dedicated volunteer who shows all of us that perseverance really can make a difference in a community," the chamber said in a release. "She volunteers and supports organizations that she is truly passionate about and does not expect any recognition for her endless hours of service."

According to the press release from the chamber, Goff received the award from the chamber’s Ambassador Club because she supports many chamber programs, including an annual school supplies drive and a Secret Santa program for Belleville School District 118. A fixture at many ribbon-cutting ceremonies across the city, Goff also volunteers at the Business After Hours, Ale Fest and Chili Cook-off. Her volunteer career spans 27 years.

“The chamber knows that if they are ever looking for help, they can always call Sharon and if she’s available she will graciously give her time,” the release stated.
