Analysis: Collinsville pays $3.42 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Collinsville Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 77.3 percent of the $1,485,768 the Collinsville Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.42 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Collinsville contributed $1,148,282 to the fund, which saw a $27,600 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $335,566, or 22.6 percent, in 2016. Another $1,920 came from other unspecified sources.
