Analysis: Belleville pays $3.79 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Signal Hill Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 79.1 percent of the $31,514 the Signal Hill Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.79 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Belleville contributed $24,937 to the fund, which saw a $634 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $6,577, or 20.9 percent, in 2016.
