Report: Grant spent $12,570 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Grant Community Consolidated School District 110 is up 19 percent from five years ago, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the St. Clair County school district spent $10,592 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $12,570 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 679 to 575.

Grant's spending in 2016-17 was 3 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
