South Roxana Fire Protection District responded to 15 calls in 2017 - 59.5 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in South Roxana included 10 fires - six structure fires, one vehicle fire and three other fires.

In all, the department saw $3,500 in fire loss - or about $350 per fire.

The department also received five false calls.

The South Roxana Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $107,770 in 2017.
