Collinsville Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Sept. 20.
Ameren Illinois announced today it is adding Michael Mueller to its senior leadership team.
Mueller is joining the Ameren Illinois team to serve as the company's new vice president of Economic Development. He was formerly the Vice President of Economic and Technology Development for Ameren Corporation based in St. Louis.
Mueller will report to Richard J. Mark, Chairman and President of Ameren Illinois.
"Mike has been with Ameren for 32 years and his diverse background within the company makes him well-suited to guide our long-term strategy in economic development in attracting business to our service territory," Mark said.
Mueller earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla and MBA from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. Mueller and his wife, Cookie, live in Swansea.
Mueller currently serves on the Missouri Partnership Board, the Coalition Board of BioSTL and the
I-Cares Committee of Washington University. He is also the executive vice president on the Board of United 4 Children and will transition to president of the organization by year's end. He recently completed 12 years of board and committee
