Report: Mascoutah spent $9,987 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Mascoutah Community Unit School District 19 is down 3.3 percent from five years ago, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Saint Clair County school district spent $10,333 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,987 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 3725 to 4037.

Mascoutah's spending in 2017-18 was 25.1 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
