Report: Jersey spent $9,869 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Jersey Community Unit School District 100 is up 5.7 percent from five years ago, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Jersey County school district spent $9,340 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,869 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 2761 to 2544.

Jersey's spending in 2017-18 was 26 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
