Administrators in Shiloh Village School District 85 earn an average of $88,196 per year, ranking 642nd out of 864 districts in the state, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 2.1% higher than in 2014 and 3.8% lower than in 2009. District administrators make 17.8% less than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Saint Clair County school district enrolled 593 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 198 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
