Godfrey home prices fall in April 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in April 2017 in Godfrey fell by $36,750 while total sales increased by 36%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In April 2017, there were 34 homes sold, with a median sale price of $116,250 - a 24% decrease over the $153,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 25 homes sold in Godfrey in April 2016.

The median sales tax in Godfrey for 2017 was $2,740. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,665. This marks an increase of 2.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.4%.
