Granite City home prices rise in April 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in April 2017 in Granite City rose by $1,750 while total sales increased by 42.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In April 2017, there were 54 homes sold, with a median sale price of $57,500 - a 3.1% increase over the $55,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 38 homes sold in Granite City in April 2016.

The median sales tax in Granite City for 2017 was $1,487. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,515. This marks an decrease of 1.9%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.6%.
