2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in zip code 62001?

There were two offenders released on parole during 2018 that live near Illinois zip code 62001, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Metro East Sun.

The data shows that both of the released offenders in the Alhambra zip code were men. The younger parolee was a 39-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2016, and the other was a 47-year-old man convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Charles McMillen. He was convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2016, when he was 47 years old. He is now 50.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
