Analysis: Venice pays $10.64 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Venice Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 91.4 percent of the $161,236 the Venice Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $10.64 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Venice contributed $147,385 to the fund, which saw a $37,483 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $13,851, or 8.6 percent, in 2018.
