Analysis: O'Fallon pays $3.16 for every $1 pensioners contribute to O'Fallon Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 66.3 percent of the $1,810,210 the O'Fallon Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.16 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, O'Fallon contributed $1,200,725 to the fund, which saw a $322,568 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $379,844, or 21 percent, in 2018. Another $229,641 came from other unspecified sources.
