Analysis: Highland pays $3.84 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Highland Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 79.4 percent of the $704,968 the Highland Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.84 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Highland contributed $559,395 to the fund, which saw a $129,356 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $145,573, or 20.6 percent, in 2018.
