Analysis: Glen Carbon pays $4.04 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Glen Carbon Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 80.2 percent of the $563,977 the Glen Carbon Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.04 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Glen Carbon contributed $452,209 to the fund, which saw a $39,574 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $111,768, or 19.8 percent, in 2018.
