Analysis: Cahokia pays $3.86 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Cahokia Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 79.4 percent of the $864,553 the Cahokia Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.86 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Cahokia contributed $686,727 to the fund, which saw a $24,610 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $177,826, or 20.6 percent, in 2018.
