South Roxana Fire Protection District responded to 20 calls in 2018 - 41.2 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in South Roxana included 13 fires - seven structure fires, two vehicle fires and four other fires.

In all, the department saw $50,000 in fire loss - or about $3,846 per fire.

The department also received seven false calls.

The South Roxana Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $107,365 in 2018.
