The Edwardsville Public Safety Committee meeting was called to order by Alderman Chris Farrar at 5:30 p.m. in the Governor Edwards Conference Room, 118 Hillsboro Avenue with a quorum present: Alderman Chris Farrar and Alderwoman Andrea Miracle. Alderman SJ Morrison was excused,

Approval of Minutes:
Motion by Alderwoman Miracle, second by Alderman Farrar to approve minutes from the Public Safety Committee meeting held Tuesday, April 25, 2023. Motion carried, Farrar and Miracle voted aye.
Police Department:

Approval of a Sole Source Resolution Authorizing the Purchase of Lexipol Policy Software for the Police Department of the City of Edwardsville in a Total Amount of $44,157.05
The Lexipol Policy Software will assist the Edwardsville Police Department in creating policies and procedures. Assuring the information is reviewed and up-to-date with current laws and best practices on a regular basis.
Motion by Alderman Farrar, second by Alderwoman Miracle for an Approval of a Sole Source Resolution Authorizing the Purchase of Lexipol Policy Software for the Police Department of the City of Edwardsville in a Total Amount of $44,157.05. Motion carried, Farrar and Miracle voted aye.

Approval of a Sole Source Resolution Authorizing the Purchase of Lexipol Policy Software for the Fire Department of the City of Edwardsville for a Total Amount of $25,230.10
The Lexipol Policy Software will assist the Edwardsville Fire Department in creating policies and procedures. Assuring the information is reviewed and up-to-date with current laws and best practices on a regular basis.
Motion by Alderman Farrar, second by Alderwoman Miracle for an Approval of a Sole Source Resolution Authorizing the Purchase of Lexipol Policy Software for the Fire Department of the City of Edwardsville for a Total Amount of $25,230.10. Motion carried, Farrar and Miracle voted aye.
Approval of a Resolution Authorizing the Single Source Purchase of One Lucas 3 CPR Chest Compression System and Maintenance Contract for a Cost Not to Exceed of $28,889.00
Motion by Alderman Farrar, second by Alderwoman Miracle to table the Approval of a Resolution Authorizing the Single Source Purchase of One Lucas 3 CPR Chest Compression System and Maintenance Contract per the request from Fire Chief Whiteford. Motion carried, Farrar and Miracle voted aye.
