Among the three institutions in the county, CALC Institute of Technology stood out with the highest tuition fees, reaching an average of $13,600. Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville followed with an average of $12,558 per year. Lewis and Clark Community College students were offered the lowest annual tuition fees at $9,552.
At the time, at least $17.8 million in grants or scholarships were awarded to full-time undergraduates who started at the Madison County universities in the 2022-23 school year. Additionally, federal student loans reached more than $6.3 million.
