Approval of October 16, 2024 minutes

Motion and second to approve said minutes were made by Committee Members Harry Zimmerman/Frank Menn. Roll call to approve said minutes passes with a voice vote. Motion carried on 5 yeas.

Parks and Recreation Director's Report

Director Beaston presented the Director's Report-Facility Usage Report to Committee for review. There were no questions.

Ordinance Review and Update of Chapter 29: Discuss Changes to the Ordinance and Forward for Approval

Director Beaston presented the Chapter 29 updates for review, discussion and approval.

Motion and second to forward to the City Council with the recommendation of approval, an Ordinance repealing Ordinance 190, Chapter 29, Parks, Article I - General Regulations with proposed corrections, made by Committee Members Brenda Wagner/Harry Zimmerman. Roll call vote: Aldermen Frank Menn, Ryan Vickers, Brenda Wagner, Harry Zimmerman and Bill Poletti voted yes. Motion carried on 5 yeas.

Architectural Proposal for Pleasant Ridge Park and The REC Expansion: This Proposal is for Schematic Design and Design Development for the Future Expansion of The REC and Renovations of Pleasant Ridge Park

Motion and second to forward to the City Council with the recommendation of approval, an Architectural Proposal for Schematic Design and Design Development for the Future Expansion of The REC and Renovations of Pleasant Ridge Park and the REC Expansion between the City of Fairview Heights and Farnsworth Group, were made by Committee Members Brenda Wagner/Frank Menn. Roll call vote: Aldermen Frank Menn, Ryan Vickers, Brenda Wagner, Harry Zimmerman and Bill Poletti voted yes.

Short Form of Agreement Between Owner and Engineer for Professional Services

In Director Alley's absence, Heather Hinson, Economic Development Coordinator, presented to Committee a Short Form of Agreement between the City of Fairview Heights, Owner and TWM, Inc, Engineer for Professional Services for the next phase of the bike trail.

Motion and second to forward to the City Council with the recommendation of approval, a Short Form of Agreement between the City of Fairview Heights, Owner and TWM, Inc, Engineer for Professional Services, were made by Committee Members Brenda Wagner/Frank Menn.
