On January 21, 2025, Rep. Bost commented on President Trump's nominee for Secretary of Veterans Affairs. He stated: "President Trump’s nominee for Secretary of VA is former Congressman Doug Collins, a close friend of mine. Doug is a veteran, a chaplain in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, and someone I completely trust to serve the needs of our heroes. His Senate confirmation hearing is today."
Later that day, he expressed confidence in Collins' confirmation: "I expect him to be overwhelmingly confirmed for his new role. Great selection by President Trump!"
On January 22, 2025, Rep. Bost announced receiving recognition for his pro-life stance: "As a father and a grandfather, I’m proud to announce I’ve received an A+ rating from Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America for my pro-life voting record in Congress. As we begin a new congressional term, I’ll never change in my steadfast defense of the God-given rights of the unborn."
