Rep. Mike Bost, a member of the United States House of Representatives, shared his views on energy security, veterans' rights, and historical heritage through a series of tweets in early February 2025.

On February 7, 2025, Rep. Bost expressed his support for the Protecting American Energy Production Act. He emphasized the importance of energy security as a component of national security and criticized what he described as "radical environmental activists" attempting to shut down American energy production. According to him, "Fracking is one of the critical ways we power our economy, lower energy costs..." The full tweet can be found here.

Later that day, Rep. Bost addressed issues concerning veterans' rights upon their return home from service. He stated that it should be infuriating when veterans have their freedoms taken away after serving their country. Specifically, he highlighted concerns about personal information being managed by the VA when they determine a veteran needs financial assistance. The original tweet is available here.

On February 8, 2025, Rep. Bost met with Sarah Watson from Looking for Lincoln to discuss matters related to the Abraham Lincoln National Heritage Area in Illinois. He noted that Illinois played a significant role in shaping President Lincoln's legacy and mentioned historic events such as the Lincoln-Douglas debates held in the state. More details can be found in his tweet here.
