Rep. Mike Bost, who has represented Illinois’ 12th district in the U.S. Congress since 2015 and previously served in the Illinois House of Representatives and on the Jackson County Board, recently addressed issues related to national policy and agricultural security through a series of social media posts.

On July 10, 2025, Bost commented on President Trump’s legislative efforts, stating: "Let’s cut through the noise on President Trump’s One Big, Beautiful Bill. Here are the facts:".

The following day, July 11, 2025, Bost raised concerns about foreign influence in American agriculture. He wrote: "Foreign adversaries have infiltrated America’s agricultural supply chain, stolen our technology, and attacked our food systems. They’re buying up our farmland to gain a deeper foothold across the country. This week, President Trump rolled out the USDA’s National Farm Security".

A subsequent post from July 11 included a link but no additional commentary: "https://t.co/cKUEVh2EuD".
