Rep. Mike Bost, a U.S. Congressman representing Illinois’ 12th district, recently shared updates and reflections with constituents through his official Twitter account.

On July 21, 2025, Bost invited the public to participate in a community event, stating: "Going live with our telephone town hall now! If you can, feel free to join us by dialing in at (833) 364-1476."

Addressing infrastructure concerns on July 22, 2025, Bost highlighted challenges faced by local farmers: "For farmers in Southern Illinois, the rural roads used to haul grain for weighing or to transport feed and fertilizer are often narrow, weight-limited, and in disrepair. These first-mile and last-mile connections are just as important as the highways they lead to. That’s why"

On July 23, 2025, Bost commemorated a notable community member: "Many Southern Illinoisans will recognize the name Ray Doerr, who passed away earlier this month at the blessed age of 98. Bost has represented Illinois’s 12th District since 2015 after serving two decades in the Illinois House of Representatives and previously on the Jackson County Board. He was born in Murphysboro, Illinois in 1960 and continues to reside there. Additionally, he is an alumnus of the University of Illinois' Certified Firefighter II Academy.
