State Representative Kevin Schmidt (R-Millstadt) has recognized Hartmann Turf & Tractor as his “Business of the Month” for October. The recognition follows nominations from across Illinois' 114th District, which Schmidt represents in the state legislature.

Schmidt presented an official certificate to Mike Hartmann and Cheryl Hartmann Young, acknowledging their business's continued service to Millstadt and neighboring areas. “The whole team here deserves recognition for their hard work and prioritizing their customers,” said Schmidt. “I especially would like to thank Mike Hartmann and Cheryl Hartmann Young for all that they do to keep customers happy and providing them with quality services.”

Hartmann Turf & Tractor is a fourth-generation family-owned company that has been operating since 1938. It provides light agricultural equipment and a range of commercial and residential outdoor power equipment, offering brands such as KIOTI, New Holland, Hustler, Ferris, Cub Cadet, Echo, RedMax, Toro, and various other product lines.

The company’s guiding principle is: “provide exceptional service to our customers in order to keep them coming back.”

Schmidt invited constituents of the 114th District to submit nominations for future business recognitions through his website or by contacting his office directly.

Schmidt was elected as a Republican representative in 2023 for the state's 114th House District after succeeding LaToya Greenwood. More information about the nomination process can be found at RepSchmidt.com or by calling (618)-215-1050.

Representative Schmidt’s district includes part of St. Clair County.
