Today at Freeburg Park, Illinois State Representative Kevin Schmidt awarded certificates to students who completed his summer reading program. To successfully complete the program, Kindergarten-6th graders were required to read ten books during their summer break.

OSFM announces $4 million funding for Small Equipment Grant Program

The Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) has announced the opening of the application period for the Small Equipment Grant Program. The OSFM will allocate $4 million to eligible fire departments and ambulance services for purchasing small firefighting and ambulance equipment. Interested departments must submit their applications electronically or postmarked by October 1, 2024.
