The calls in Edwardsville included 67 fires - 33 structure fires, 12 vehicle fires and 17 other fires. The fire department also responded to five calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $464,800 in fire loss - or about $6,937 per fire.
The department also received 222 false calls.
One fire service member was injured in non fire-related incidents.
The Edwardsville Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 26 active employees and 22 retired or inactive employees, was $1,220,661 in debt as of April 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $18,219 for every fire in 2016.
