Church Road Fire Department responded to 70 calls in 2017 - 18.6 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Church Road included 51 fires - 34 structure fires, six vehicle fires and 11 other fires.

The department also received 19 false calls, including two malicious calls and 17 other false calls.

The Church Road Fire Department had an annual budget of $60,252 in 2015.
