Q4 2020 Recap: 1 parolee from St. Clair County convicted of sex crimes set for release

There was one offender convicted of a sex crime released on parole in St. Clair County during the fourth quarter of 2020, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Metro East Sun.

The data shows that the released offender was a man. He was convicted in 2019 when he was 26 years old. He is now 27.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The following table shows how many offenders convicted of sex crimes were paroled during the fourth quarter of 2020 in each Illinois county.
