Q1 2022 Recap: 1 parolee from Madison County convicted of crimes against justice set for release

There was one offender convicted of a crime against justice living in Madison County released on parole during the first quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Metro East Sun.

The data shows the released offender was a man. He was convicted in 2021 when he was 20 years old. He is now 22.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
