Illinois State Rep. C.D. Davidsmeyer (R-Murrayville) is looking for new pictures to decorate his office and is asking his constituents to send along pictures of things across the 100th district they think would make good decor.

Davidsmeyer shared information about his latest photo contest in a June 6 Facebook post

"I’m holding another photo contest to update the pictures on my wall in Springfield," he wrote in the post. "Please think about something cool or fun to photograph that would look good in my office!!"

Davidsmeyer shared a link to a news release about the picture contest. It's scheduled to run throughout the year. Winners will be chosen all year long with the first round of winning photographs scheduled to be picked on July 15. Another round of photos will be selected on Oct. 1, and a third on Dec. 15. People of all ages can enter by taking a photo of a place, object, or event within the boundaries of the 100th District. Photo entries should be accompanied by identifying information, including the photographer’s contact information. Entries can be emailed to RepCDDavidsmeyer@gmail.com.

“There are so many amazing places and cool events throughout the 100th District,” Davidsmeyer said in the release. “Pick a local landmark, a festival, a farm, business, wildlife, or anything that tells the story of our region. I can’t wait to continue to show off our district to the many visitors from around the state and nation!”

The 100th District includes Adams, Brown, Calhoun, Greene, Jersey, Macoupin, Madison, Morgan, Pike, and Scott Counties.

Davidsmeyer is a Murrayville resident, but grew up in Jacksonville, and lived in Illinois until he went to Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, to study political science.
