City of Edwardsville Finance Committee met Nov. 2.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Alderman Krause called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. in the Governor Edwards Conference Room in City Hall, located at 118 Hillsboro Avenue in Edwardsville, Illinois.

Roll Call: Alderman Krause, Chairman Pro Tem, and Alderman Farrar were present.

Also Present: Jeanne Wojcieszak, Director of Finance; Kevin Head, City Administrator; James Arnold, Economic Community Development and Grants Coordinator; Cathy Hensley, Communication Coordinator; Jared Kanallakan, Edwardsville Resident and Charles Bolinger, Edwardsville Intelligencer.

No public comment was made.

Motion by Farrar, seconded by Krause to approve the minutes of the Finance Committee meeting held on September 28, 2023. Motion carried with Krause and Farrar voting aye.

Group Health Insurance Fund Insurance Report will be announced at the Tuesday, November 07, 2023 Council meeting.

Claims amount will be announced at the Tuesday, Novermber 07, 2023 Council meeting.

Motion by Krause, seconded by Farrar to approve and forward to Council a Resolution Resolution Determining the Intent of the City of Edwardsville, Illinois to Reimburse Itself for Certain Capital Expenditures. Motion carried with Krause and Farrar voting aye.

Motion by Krause, seconded by Farrar to approve and forward to Council a Resolution Authorizing the Execution of an Agreement with UMB Financial Services, Inc for Municipal Advisory Services. Moton carried with Krause and Farrar voting aye.

Motion by Krause, seconded by Farrar to approve and forward to Council Approval of IMLRMA (Illinois Municipal League Risk Management Association) 2024 Renewal for Professional Risk Management Services and Various Coverages. Motion carried with Krause and Farrar voting aye.

Motion by Krause, seconded by Farrar to approve and forward to Council for second reading of an Ordinance Establishing the Main Street Business District; Approving a Business District Plan; Authorizing the Impostion and Collection of a Sales Tax Within Such Business District; and Approving Certain Actions in Connection with the Establishment of Such Business District. Motion carried with Krause and Farrar voting aye.

Finance Committee will meet on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. in City Hall.

There being no further business, meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
