Mike Babcock was recently on hand for the Women of Achievement banquet to support longtime friend and honoree Tammy Iskarous.

“I was proud to be in attendance,” Babcock posted on Facebook. “My friend Tammy Iskarous from Wood River was one of 10 honored. She runs the non-profit organization called Riverbend Ministries. She will be recognized today for her 15 years of success in the Riverbend area. Congratulations to Tammy for her achievement.

Babcock, running against Rep. Monica Bristow (D-Godfrey) in the 111th District, took time from his busy campaign schedule to be in attendance. The Wood River Township supervisor also previously ran for the seat in 2016 against Democrat Daniel V. Beiser.

Babcock has based his campaign on a platform of “jobs, lower taxes and finding a way to get the economy moving again.”
