State Senate race: Democrat Belt wins voter tally in Canteen Township

Christopher Belt led Republican Tanya Hildenbrand in votes cast in Canteen Township for the District 57 state Senate race, according to the latest vote count.

Belt appeared to outpace Hildenbrand by a margin of 57 percent on Tuesday in the township.

In comparison, the 2014 winner, Democrat Clayborne, Jr., II, won by a margin of 52.3 percent in that jurisdiction, beating Republican Ruocco Katherine, who received 1,424 votes to Clayborne's 1,432.
