Jay Hoffman led Republican Doug Jameson in votes cast in Caseyville Township for the District 113 state House race, according to the latest vote count.
Hoffman appeared to outpace Jameson by a margin of 25 percent on Tuesday in the township.
In comparison, the 2014 winner, Democrat Hoffman Jay, won by a margin of 14.6 percent in that jurisdiction, beating Republican Hult Melinda, who received 1,957 votes to Jay's 2,624.
